New: "few brands for its size"

30 September 2026

Since this week, ERP-BI has one more recommendation in the Sales category: few brands for its size.

What it spots

An active customer (at least one order in the last twelve months) buying clearly fewer brands than customers of the same size. Brand count mostly follows account size, so each customer is only compared with customers in its own revenue decile. One brand at 15,000 € over two years is normal. One brand at 90,000 € when accounts that size buy five in median is a call to make.

What the card says

The brands already bought, the median count among customers its size (and how many they are, and how big), the three brands they buy most that this account does not, with the share of peers buying each, and the account's revenue over the period. For example: "buys only 1 brand (89,820 € over 24 months), against 5 in median among customers its size. Offer UNV (87% of them buy it)."

What it does not do

It does not count Odoo categories that name a product type (Misc, Storage, Power supplies, IP...) as brands. It leaves out accounts with an overdue invoice or a recent negative call: not the moment to sell. And it was not added to the ICP score: we tested, and brand breadth does not help find new customers (a prospect has no orders yet). It helps grow the ones you have.

The four thresholds (window, minimum size, peer group, gap) can be set on the recommendations configuration page.
